Our Mission and Vision

ASNT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rural and outer urban communities of North Texas through prevention, care and advocacy.

Our team of volunteers and staff are committed to a holistic approach to services and the delivery of those services in a caring nonjudgmental way. ASNT is a responsive organization striving to meet the changing needs of our clients and community.

We envision a time when our efforts, along with the efforts of the global AIDS community, will bring about a solution to the AIDS pandemic, and create a safe environment for people living with HIV that is free from ignorance and discrimination.

History

The organization known today as ASNT was incorporated in 1988 in Denton, Texas as AIDS/Denton, Inc. by citizens whose lives had been touched by the disease in some way. In the beginning, the organization's primary goals were to provide support groups, volunteer assistance, education to the community, and comfort clients and their families in their struggle with AIDS.

Over the last decade, ASNT has grown from its grass roots beginnings into a professional primary care and social service agency with multiple sites and programs.
